Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of software products, including licensed desktop applications such as Invoice Renamer, made available by We Simplify Complexity ("we", "us"). By purchasing or using a product, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

Paid products are licensed, not sold. When you purchase a license (e.g. a 1-year license for Invoice Renamer), we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software for the license term, on the terms stated at purchase. We retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in the software.

2. Payment

Prices are shown at checkout in the listed currency and are exclusive of any taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider; we do not store your full card details.

3. No Refunds

All sales are final. Except where required by applicable law (including statutory consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, such as under the Australian Consumer Law, UK/EU consumer protection law, or similar laws in your jurisdiction), we do not provide refunds, credits, or exchanges for any purchase, including for change of mind, failure to use the software, or incompatibility with your system that was disclosed prior to purchase.

Where a refund is legally required, it will be limited to the amount actually paid for the affected license.

4. No Compensation / Limitation of Liability

The software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a product or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the license giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable consumer protection law.

5. Acceptable Use

  • You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or redistribute the software except as expressly permitted.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any license key issued to you.
  • We may suspend or terminate a license for breach of these Terms.

6. License Term & Renewal

Annual licenses run for 12 months from the date of purchase and do not auto-renew unless stated otherwise at checkout. Continued use of the software after the license term ends without renewal is not permitted.

7. Changes to the Software or Terms

We may update the software, these Terms, or our pricing at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
