QR Codes Manager
This policy covers QR Codes Manager only (version 1.0.1 at the time of writing). Our other products have their own, because they do different things with different data.
What QR Codes Manager sends, and to whom.
Everything below happens because you asked for it. Nothing is sent in the background, and none of it comes to us.
- is.gd and v.gd — the single web address you chose to shorten, only when you use the shorten-link feature.
We receive none of it. QR Codes Manager has no account with us, no analytics and no telemetry, and your settings stay in your own browser.
Chrome shows you a list of permissions when you install anything. Here is what QR Codes Manager asks for and why, in the same words the manifest uses.
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
storage | Save your settings and preferences in the browser, on your own machine. |
tabs | See the address and title of your open tabs, so the extension knows which page you mean. |
contextMenus | Add its own entries to the browser right-click menu. |
activeTab | Act on the page you are currently looking at, only when you invoke the extension. |
Sites it can run on
| Pattern | What that means |
|---|---|
<all_urls> | Every site you visit — the extension is designed to work anywhere, so it cannot name a shorter list. |
https://dev.wesimplifycomplexity.com/* | This site only. |
https://is.gd/* | This site only. |
https://v.gd/* | This site only. |
Uninstalling the extension removes its stored settings with it. You do not need to contact us first, and there is no account left behind.
If you would like something explained or corrected, email [email protected]. If you think this page is wrong about what the product does, say so plainly and we will fix the page or the product.
If a future version of QR Codes Manager starts collecting or sending something it does not today, this page changes before that version ships, and the change is described here rather than quietly folded in.
Sitewide terms are covered by our terms of use, and the website's own privacy notice is at /privacy.html.
